On Mother’s Day weekend, our beloved Alicia Watson woke up in excruciating pain, unaware that her life was about to change dramatically. Rushed to the emergency room, she received shocking news: she was septic and required immediate surgery to save her life.
As she undergoes this critical battle, her two young children are staying with family members, who are stepping in to support them as they finish the last few weeks of school. This unimaginable situation is tough on everyone, especially for the kids who are coping with their mother’s serious condition.
Alicia is currently sedated to aid her recovery, but she can still respond by nodding her head, giving us hope as we communicate with her in this challenging time. We are anxiously waiting to see if her organs will respond positively to the surgery, allowing her to make a full recovery.
Throughout her life, Alicia has been a loving Single mother, dedicated friend, Devoted Teacher at Calvay Day School, to her 3 year class, and a pillar of strength for those around her. Now, she needs our support more than ever. As she fights for her health, we’re reaching out to our community for help with the mounting medical bills and to provide for her children during this difficult time.
